We crammed a week’s worth the drama into a single day. It all started with Waffle.
Waffle’s daycare was closed Friday so the staff could do “team building exercises,” which I assume means “drink margaritas instead of dealing with your awful kids.” I've never heard of a daycare closing for team building exercises before, but there seem to be a lot of unexplained closings in Waffle’s wake. Her last daycare shut down permanently in the middle of the school year. At least that’s what they told us. It’s possible they just shut off the lights and closed the blinds until the Breakwell children left and then reopened for business. After seeing what Waffle can do with scissors, I wouldn’t blame them.
Since it’s generally a bad idea to leave a three-year-old unsupervised, I took a vacation day Friday to hang out with Waffle, even though no day spent with a preschooler is ever a vacation.
