Discussion Thread: Background Noise
What do you turn on for background noise? For me, it’s football. I thought I liked watching it. What I actually enjoy is hearing the roar of the crowd and the dull prattle of the commentators while I do something else. It’s live, so I feel connected to the world, even as I actively ignore it. If I turned on anything more interesting, it might be a distraction. I can only afford to give it part of my attention. I only have so much to go around. What do you use for background noise?
