Discussion Thread: Fixing Your Own Vehicle

What’s the most impressive bit of car maintenance you can do yourself? My lack of automotive skills is legendary. This weekend, I had to replace my windshield wipers. It was a simple enough task, but the last set I installed had an extra protective piece I was supposed to lift with a screwdriver. I had to watch two different YouTube videos to figure out why they wouldn’t simply pop off. Not exactly my proudest moment, especially since I was in a race against time to keep my fingers from freezing off. Luckily, no one will ever know about it.
