Discussion Thread: Most Memorable Item You Forgot

What do you forget to pack for trips? The most memorable item forgotten in this family was an entire duffle bag. That move was pulled off by my 10-year-old, who managed to leave it at home last year when I took her and her sisters to Grandma's house. She ended up with an entirely new wardrobe, courtesy of Grandma's good will and also the literal Goodwill store down the road.

As for me, I can never remember pajamas. I just sleep in shorts and a t-shirt, yet I can never manage to throw them in my suitcase, even when I set them aside and specifically earmark them for a trip. I always end up in a hotel room with nothing to wear to bed. Let me just say that jeans are not the most comfortable sleepwear. But it's that or nod off with my legs exposed, which is a total no-no. My wife and I aren't that close. Let's keep some mystery in this marriage.
