Discussion Thread: Star Wars or Star Trek?

Are you a Star Wars family or a Star Trek family? Actually, insert any franchise debate you want. I need to hear about all your awesome nerd disputes. In my house, we actually watch both Star Wars and Star Trek, which is how my 12-year-old was able to make the mistake above. It didn't actually tear our family apart, but I would have found that triggering growing up. As a kid, I was definitely far more into Star Wars than Star Trek. Then the prequels happened. Let's not talk about that.

Currently, the biggest dispute in our house is between my 10-year-old and literally any franchise. She doesn't like Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Marvel, Star Trek, or Star Wars (though she makes an exception for The Mandalorian because she’s not a monster). She liked National Treasure and Tremors, though, so maybe there's hope for her yet.
