Discussion Thread: Tech Downgrades
What's an area of your life where you've downgraded technology? For us, it was our trash can. Normally, that's not an appliance that uses a lot of microchips. Years ago, my mom gave us one that was motion activated. She figured it would be safer from the pigs. She was right, but not because of the science. It was just big and heavy, which made it hard for the pigs to tip over. It did just as good of a job at keeping us out. The motion activated part only worked about a third of the time. This week, Lola took us back to the Dark Ages and bought a trash can operated by a foot pedal. The only thing worse would be lifting the lid with our hands. We can't go that far. We're not cavemen.
