What was your first car? Old, junky vehicles have been on my mind lately. I’m going to be some used car salesman’s best friend over the next eight years. My first vehicle was a white Geo Metro convertible. I couldn’t tell you the year, but I think my parents picked it up for $1,500. You can’t buy a hubcap for that price now. It had three cylinders, giving it slightly less horsepower than a riding lawnmower. It also only had two seats, which was actually a plus. I couldn’t be the family taxi driver unless I wanted to stash my siblings in the trunk.
I drove the car throughout high school. My parents sold it when I left for college. It was too dangerous to drive on highways full of semis and SUVs. If I hit anything bigger than a squirrel, I would have been flattened. What was your first car? Sound off in the comments.
