Discussion Thread: Your First Job
Waffle had her first customer service experience Saturday. It was exactly as chaotic as we all expected. She always finds a way to live up to her reputation. What was your first job? Mine was at age sixteen working at a non-chain burger place. My parents knew the owners and called in a favor. I lacked the qualifications to get a job in fast food on my own. To the surprise of no one, I did not excel. I’m lucky I made it to the end of the summer so I could quit rather than being fired. To this day, it’s still the hardest job I ever had—and also the lowest paying. Anyone in a similar line of work has my undying respect. Did your first job go any better? Sound off in the comments.
