When I set up this email list ages ago, I promised frequent updates about my life and my comedy work. Since then, I've broken that promise every single day. At least I'm consistent.

Starting today, I'm going to reach out to you at least once a week to let you know what I'm working on. Disasters are more fun if you have some prior warning.

In terms of long-term projects, I just finished the copy edits on my second book, Bare Minimum Parenting: The Ultimate Guide to Not Quite Ruining Your Child. It's coming out November 6th with Benbella books. Don't worry, I'm not trying to sell it to you—yet. That sales push will come at a future date.

As for more immediate projects, I'm growing my YouTube account. I set it up in 2012, but for five years the only thing on there was a fundraiser to buy a giant taxidermy bear as a wedding gift. Don't ask.

Now that I'm older and wiser, I realize not everyone shares my love for ruining wedding receptions. To cater to this more respectable crowd, I'm posting a…
