Drink Up
You can lead a pig to water but you can't make her drink. That's what I discovered when we left Gilly alone and unsupervised for twenty-four hours. I told you last week that we went to my parents’ house, but I didn’t tell you about the aftermath when we got back home. We took Niko with us but left Gilly at home since she’s still a pig non grata for eating my mom’s flowers. The auto-feeder was finally up and running (If you're behind on its previous failures, check out my YouTube page), and her water bowl was full. We figured that we could trust her to stay out of trouble for one night. We were wrong.
As far as troublemaking goes, Gilly didn’t have a lot of options. Inside the house, she was confined to my office, but she could go out the doggy door any time she wanted to enjoy our vast and bountiful yard.
