Was it illegal? Almost certainly. Was it unethical? Not so much. Sometimes, the best solutions are cash-only and outside the purview of the government. To the FBI agent who monitors my emails, the following story is a work of fiction. To everyone else, every word is true. I probably didn’t need to put that disclaimer thanks to the paywall. It’s not like any law enforcement agency is going to fork over five dollars a month just to bust me. That would require too much paperwork.
