The flames sprang to life, hungrily devouring their unexpected fuel source. In another time and place, the display might have been beautiful, but in a kitchen, it was life-threatening. In seconds, the air filled with gray, angry smoke. The accidental fire starter crouched down, totally unaware. She was petting a dog.
