Some things are worth the wait. I have no idea what those things are. If something would be good later, it would be even better now. The impatient shall inherit the earth. Earlier this year, I bought tickets for a daddy daughter dance scheduled for March. Then the pandemic hit because God hates dances. We learned nothing from Footloose. The daddy daughter dance was postponed indefinitely. This weekend, it was finally held, a mere five months late. At least the massive delay gave me a chance to upgrade my dancing skills. Or not. My signature move is still swaying randomly without any correlation to the music with my arms fixed firmly to my sides. You don’t mess with a classic.
Instead of a high school gym, the dance was held outside at a public pool to better comply with covid safety guidelines.
