Last week was my kids’ first week of school. I use the word “week” liberally since it was only two days, which is the third best number of days for a week after one and zero. Actually, that’s only ideal for the work week. For school, I’d send my kids seven days a week if I could. It’s every teacher's nightmare.
When it comes to whether or not kids should attend in-person school, everybody has an opinion, and I’m not interested in any of them, including my own. Ultimately, everybody has to weigh the risks and benefits and make the best decision they can, which will still probably be the wrong one since that’s how parenting works. To everyone struggling with this issue, I support whatever decision you make, unless that decision is to send me an angry email with lots of swear words and exclamation marks, in which case it’s going straight to my spam folder. Sorry, Mom.
