I ruined my daughter's life. Again. I'm going to be typing that sentence more and more often as she gets older. This time, I missed the deadline to pay the deposit for Betsy's trip to our nation's capital. Mind you, it's a trip I'd never heard of and that I didn't get any flyers or emails about. That's one of the joys of modern technology. Some school alerts come to me, some go to my wife, and some disappear into the ether, waiting to explode into a crisis on a random weekday afternoon. Luckily, Lola was able to dig up the link so I could send the money to get Betsy a spot on the trip. My main role as a parent right now is as a reluctant ATM. Instead of requiring a PIN number, my only security feature is that I complain a lot every time someone tries to withdraw funds. I hope Betsy has fun in Washington, DC. And Cincinnati. And the 9,000 places she goes after that that I'm sure I'll have to pay for. That was the inspiration for today's webcomic.
