We used to only have to buy clothes for one kid. Then we could pass down the tattered down to children two through four. Now, however, the girls are older and more sophisticated. They insist on outfits tailored to their individual tastes. Also, they destroy everything they own through regular wear and tear, leaving nothing for the hand-me-down system. I swear we’ve taken Betsy shopping ten times this year and she still has “nothing to wear.” Forget college. I’m going bankrupt at Kohl’s.
