This didn't happen to me, but to my brother-in-law - the oldest of 11 children (in the 1950s). After church, my in-laws piled the kids in the van and drove home (about 2 miles). When they got home, they realized the oldest wasn't in the van. So Dad turned around to go get him. My brother-in-law apparently was so mad, he refused to get in the car and walked all the way home.
