That sounds like great fun!

I was once in a murder mystery while taking Theater 101 in College. I was the murderer and I killed myself with the poisonous mushrooms I was supposed to use to kill my “husband” . He was a nice young man around 20 years old and I was at least 22 years older than him. If anything, he should have been the one trying to kill me! Haha. The game was played in a way where nobody knew who was the murderer or who was going to be killed. I failed to recognize myself as a cold blooded husband killer, much less being so stupid to poison myself by mistake. Your murder mystery was more interesting in my opinion. On another news, I knew you were the intended victim last week when you mentioned your trip to Chicago. I didn’t want to burst your bubble, I just knew. I’m glad you were able to come back to life as another character with a different identity. It sounds like the witness protection program, only you keep the same family assigned to you before your demise. ( I’m assuming you went back home with Lola and your rightful children) . Cheers!

Having premonitions about fictional murders is quite a skill. I'll be sure to consult you before future pretend killer adventures. I don't intend to be an imaginary victim twice.

You all look like you were really having fun. Those costumes are all great, but the guy dressed as a woman looks like he enjoyed dressing up the most. [I still have my fringed flapper dress from a class musical 50 years ago that is remarkably similar to his dress]. I also laughed at the comment about your friends' missing oldest son. We have friends who we hung out with several summers when our daughters were playing travel softball. We called their oldest and only son "Invisible Ben" because we had never seen him. Ever. I think he eventually proved he existed when he sold us a mattress a few years later. I guess an older teenaged brother would rather die than hang around anywhere near their younger sister.

And, nice table setting and napkins!

Teenage boys are really something. I don't remember being that good at vanishing when I was his age. Then again, my parents didn't have friends to invite over, probably because of me.

Everyone looked amazing and the guy in the dress was enjoying it a little TOO much. Not that there’s anything wrong with that LOL. I’m glad you got to play more than dead and the pictures were wonderful! I’m a visual learner so the pictures helped set the scene. I’d love to hear more about the actual mystery. BTW, your friend’s house has me green with envy. What an amazing house!!

The house is incredible and has be questioning every decision I've made in my life. As for the mystery, the company had a bunch of threats in the rules about posting spoilers, so I left it vague. It's definitely worth your time to play one, though.

Okay, I get that, lol. Well, you know it’s not all about money....said people who’ve never been poor. Lol

I warned you not to get killed! At least they let you phoenix your way back into the story. Which meant we get more newsletters!!! Yeah wins for everyone!

I should have taken your advice. I'll be more careful next time.

Now I wanna participate in a murder mystery party! I just have to find somebody else to host it because it sounds like too much work 😉

Making your friends do most of the work is the key to any good social outing.

With my crowd, I’m assuming everybody’s waiting for somebody else to take up the mantle😂

Everybody did an amazing job with their costumes! The whole concept for that party was great and it was fun to read your perspective. If I was better actor/impersonator, I wouldn't hesitate to participate in sth similar.

Trust me, no acting ability is required. All you need is a lack of shame and you're good to go.

I love all the costumes! My sister's church puts one of these on every year and it always amazes me how much everyone gets into the costuming and the characters!

I did not expect everyone to so into the costumes. Apparently we're all secretly dying to play dress-up.

And I'll also suggest you do the Pirate theme murder mystery next, those allowed very cool costumes for both the men and the ladies.

I can't image anyone turning down an evening of pirates, although I'm not sure I want to walk around all night wearing an eye patch.

Totally agree, who knew soooo many adults never outgrew wanting to wear cool costumes?!

Wow! Lola won the costume contest in my opinion. She looked beautiful, as usual. I want that house!!! I thought you looked great, but yeah the other fella did wear it better. That’s been the theme of my life too.

The parties are so much fun when everyone commits. You have great friends (the murder aside).

And kudos to Mae & Lola for their napkin roses!

I expect Mae to fold all our regular disposable napkins at home now.

First, everyone looked amazing. I don't know how you could have cheated on the ex-wife. She's stunning! I really want to do a murder mystery party. My friends are all duds with no sense of adventure. I need to look for a Christmas themed one so we can do it at our cookie swap. See what you've caused?

Let me set the record straight: She cheated on ME. Some people just don't know how good they have it. Also, a Christmas-themed cookie swap murder mystery sounds amazing.

It looks like you had a great group to do this and I admire Rocco’s and Phoebe’s work to do it. Way more work than I’d do for entertainment. As for Chicago, it’s not the worst traffic I’ve dealt with. Aren’t you used to traffic delays in Indy? I always seem to have trouble there and I’m up there at least a couple times a year. A half hour extra seems pretty reasonable. I usually plan at least an hour extra for Chicago, depending on where I’m having to go. I used to travel there for work, and I usually only had about a 30 minute delay. If you ever go through, Atlanta plan for at least an extra hour on your trip, maybe two.

Indy traffic is actually pretty good. Over the last year, I've only had two delays on my way to work. And if there is a delay, there's usually a way around it, unlike in Chicago where the detour to the delay is an even bigger delay.

For a swamp monster with his hair combed you looked pretty nice! Love all the costumes. Our local historic winery did one of these recently but we were out of town and missed it. Next year! Oh, and Chicago has added hours to many of our road trips....
