This was hilarious! I really think Lola could have a career in audiobooks, her voice is gorgeous and she did amazingly well for a first time narrator.

Don't tell her that. I'm not ready to be replaced just yet.

Lola sounds great but I find James deadpan narration hilarious.

Oh... me too. It's part of the charm. I love hearing him read the newsletters. But Lola was awesome too. I think a mix would be perfect.

I don't know that I've ever heard Lola's voice! You're great, James, but I did enjoy the change!

The regular reader ad libs from time to time also.

you know how these comments are going to go. Lola reads with much more expression and life. However, you stumble over the words a little less, probably because you wrote them.

Lola wins hands down!

Have to say that Lola did excellent & her narrating was enjoyable! It seems sometimes it's good committing to a challenge after drinking.

I actually prefer your narration, James. I think the deadpan narration makes it even better.

Compared to Lola you sound like Mr. Lorensax from Ferris Bueller's Day Off. 🥰

What a pleasant surprise! Lola gives the story more expression. Sorry James, it is what it is. Your a fantastic writer, which is why you get my money, but as a narrator .... well... anyway, Lola’s voice just has more life. I’m shocked that you didn’t have a wine hangover but your right, perhaps the sugar balanced it. Seeing wine is my drug of choice I’ll have to try eating candy and see if that will drown out the headache I always get the next day. Oh, I also love vodka, but I kill the taste with Cointreau, raspberry liquor a splash of line juice and crane berry. How much cranberry depends on how fuzzy I wanna feel. It’s a guzzler though so not recommended for those who don’t wanna get buzzed. And if you don’t want to, why drink?

I have been on the Keto diet for 6 months and haven’t lost a pound! (I am diabetic so sugar has been nonexistent for 5 years.) Bummed and ready to give up.

I hate wine, to my connoisseur brother’s dismay. Have you tried Ryan Reynold’s vodka? Supposed to be smoother.

Lola did a great job! ☺️ I actually listened instead of reading this time.

I loved hearing Lola! Betsy next, please. But not if you have to get her drunk in order to agree.

I'm sorry, but my vote is that Lola do it every week. She rocks!

This was great! Hearing Lola's voice was a treat. I will never again look at Halloween candy, wine, and lasagna in the same light again. Thank you both for the laugh.

Yep, Lola has a lovely voice of which I envy. However, I do enjoy and prefer the deadpan voice of James' narration because it mirrors his writing. I think Lola's voice would be perfect for narration of children's books - something at which she's probably had a lot of practice.

I was horrified when I first heard my voice back in French lab recordings. I've hated it ever since. I don't know exactly what makes a voice pleasant or unpleasant, but my singing voice is very good and sounds nothing like my speaking voice. Weird.

I'm not now or ever have been a drinker, but I sure do love beautiful (expensive) wine glasses. Another set is on my Christmas wish list. I hope you had some pretty ones to drink out of that day. I have no idea what type of glass one drinks vodka from but I'd bet they aren't as nice.
