Seth is a keeper! What a great sign! And I’m sure Lola is happy that Jane is still showing signs of affection for Onyx. Pretty please, will you share video of the pigs going through the tunnels on FB or IG? (Or here? Can you do video on Substack?)

If I manage to catch it, I'll be sure to show a video. It's pretty quick when it happens.

I was picturing dug in tunnels like the ones during wars. Then again, pigs...

If my pigs start making trenches for war, I'm confident Lola will give them the boot. If she can get them out of their defensive works.

What a lovely read! I'm never bored when you post your investigations. It's great to see so much love for Onyx and his saga continuing (here's hoping for a climax that would be satisfying for everybody involved). I'm also a big fan of the sign - in my place there are only dog ones, although some made me laugh, such as (translating): "Warning! Bad dog! And the owner's even worse!". As we have the cat, there was a consideration to buy one saying "Here lives a cat with a family", but we eventually decided that slogan is a fact known to everybody. Speaking of the kitten, she has similar reaction to your pigs, meowing loud and long when somebody's letting her smell the meat they're going to put in her bowl.

Kittens and pigs are both smart enough to prioritize food, and to let you know they know what you have. No sense in hiding it.

Our dog lays down quietly by her dish. If we don’t feed her at 5 pm on the dot, she resorts to sitting in front of us and staring at us until we look at the clock, realizing her dinner is an entire 15 minutes late! But she forgives us. Our son’s dog was more up front with his demand for dinner. He would carry his dish to whoever was home and drop it in front of them. Let’s are funny creatures aren’t they?

Oh yes, they are! I love your dogs' attitude - that kind of "royalty-like" behaviour observed in many pets gave me lots of joy over the years. Our cat has a bit of that self-esteem too, proudly hitting the plank in the garage as a signal to let her outside or loudly announcing whenever she brings mice or other rodents caught in the backyard, often multiple times a day, that she's the only one hunting for this house.

“At least someone is bringing home dinner “ thinks Cat!

Pets, not let’s. Sorry.

It's ok. Sometimes typos happen, don't worry about that.

My guess was gonna be that someone who you may have given a giant stuffed animal in the past finally figured out their revenge.

Taxidermy can only be retaliated against with reciprocal taxidermy. We think big in our revenge plots.

Glad to know our cats share/d your pigs noninterest in a new toy. The only toys they like/d were ordinary things like boxes, crawling insects, playing fetch with MrP throwing Bits O'Honey down the hall. Well, wait. There is a round ball of sorts made out of crinkly stuff that they loved to chase but it didn't last long as invariably it ended up under the fridge....like a goal scored: Fridge 1, Cat 0.

BTW, I could eat cereal for most meals, too, but the kinds I have loved have been taken off the market. AlphaBits was my favorite for years and years until magically one day it was gone. I've been ticked ever since!

It's so rude that cereal companies don't consult us before discontinuing things. They don't even know when I'm their number one fan.

Cereal is a perfect meal! And easy! Are you sure you’re not Gen X? Of course my grandma (born in 1914) was also a huge fan of cereal for dinner.
