Perfect indeed! Pro tip: the YMCA does babysitting classes, minimum age 11. I figured if a kid had a certificate proving they were capable of babysitting, they were safe to leave home alone. Take THAT, nosy people who want to call CPS!! (Turned out I actually didn’t have those kind of neighbors anyway, but it was a good confidence builder for me AND the kids.)
Indiana is the wild west. There's no minimum babysitting age. Getting them some CPR training would be good, though. I would like them to survive to adulthood.
It would be interesting to get you and my son together to talk about the World Wars. He has an amazing amount of information about both stored in his head. To be fair, he is autistic, I am not sure what your excuse is, lol. I am sure that conversation would quickly bore everyone else around you but it would be fun for the two of you.
Love this whole story! So glad you shared it with us! Love the family activities! (I’m being very upbeat cause I just ate a late breakfast. Food does that for me.)
You DID have a great day! Good for you and the fam. My son wants to go with me to see the new Deadpool/Wolverine movie, and I want to, but I’ve got way to much going on and no one to watch the dogs. Unlike your girls they’re still not 1. While you were having a great day on Sat I was living in hell at the DMV all day. There’s a reason Marge’s sisters work there. It’s hell. HELL.
Your comment about not being able to stay up late enough for a 10:30 pm movie made me laugh. We went to see Deadpool and Wolverine at 10:30 pm Friday night. I had to take a nap in preparation for staying up that late.
A wonderful day was had by all! Good job, Dad. Although I cannot believe that Waffle is old enough to be left with her sisters, unsupervised! Time indeed flies....
If we're going strictly by capability, she could probably run this house without me. She has the survival skills. If we can get her to tone down the mischief a bit, she'll be set for life.
Sounds perfect 🥰
I can't believe Waffle will be starting 3rd grade! Why is she growing up faster than her sisters did?? 😦
It's weird how she's aging at a different rate than her sisters. Time is definitely broken.

I'm sure he knows far more than me. I have more of a general interest. I'd be exposed in a second if faced with a real expert.

Breakfast is the ultimate mood enhancer. Pancakes are better than therapy.

You accomplished your mission within budget ( except the shopping your wife and Betsy did 🤣)
As long as I never see that receipt, I can die happy.
Sounds lovely - glad you all enjoyed! And I can’t believe Waffle is going into 3rd grade already!! Do the teachers know to prepare? 😉

World domination is in her future.
