I'm sure the brother who received the banana will be in therapy about it for the rest of his life. Or he's completely over it. I should really check up on him.
The good thing about eating Chinese food so late, by the time you’re hungry again, you’re already asleep. It’s sad that the big multi hour stopover didn’t happen, but at least you got to visit with him, and he paid for dinner. Maybe next time he can stay longer and you two can do your ultimate endless meat dinner.
The bear is indeed in Unknown Carolina and will also travel to future Carolinas and any other state he might end up in. The bear is in good hands with Harry.
Fogo de Chao? One of my absolute FAVOURITE restaurants!! My family is tired of going there every time we visit the US… I’m so sorry you missed it! And yes, they are nearly always full!! But that chocolate cake looks to die for - was it super good? I love your stories about your family. I’m curious - we hear about Henry a lot, and a bit about a few others, but I know you have oodles of siblings. Have some of them asked not to be fodder for your fans?
Nobody has asked to stay out of the newsletters, but there are many. I sell them ever see. Harry is one of the few who opts to stay in close contact with me through our Halo nights every Friday. Although his attendance has been sketchier ever since he started flying commercial.
My husband’s cousin is a pilot. He lives in TX; we live in PA. When he flies into MD, our visits go exactly like this one. It’s always good to see him even if we drive an hour and a half for an hour meal/visit.
I just got done telling my family I wanted chocolate cake. Then I see your’s and KNOW I want chocolate cake. Luckily for my diet it’s 8:41 and I’m in my pj’s in bed. Like any good sane adult should be.
Wow - what a short trip but you at least managed to see each other. I haven't seen my 3 siblings since our mom died 11 years ago. Everyone lives a thousand miles away from each other and it's quite possible some of us will never see each other again, for various reasons. I wouldn't be the least bit picky about what was set before to eat as the main course as long as I knew a piece of that chocolate cake was coming my way. Yum.
Ex- airline supervisor says that was entirely predictable, except for the party where you got to see him at all. I was half expecting him to be rerouted by (S)crew Scheduling and end up overnighting at someplace close by like Lost Wages (I mean Las Vegas). 😉
I miss Harry stories! We need more of your growing up stories! How’s that brother who you tricked with bananas?

It just means we have to eat twice as much endless meat the next time. I accept that challenge.
Harry has 2 toddlers?? Surely it hasn’t been THAT long since the Great Bear Caper!! And did he move the bear to Unknown Carolina with him?

The question us chocolate fanatics need to know - how was The Great Wall?
It was possibly the best chocolate cake I've ever had. And in a quantity that was big enough. Even for me. It was indeed worthy of the Great Wall.
I do hope he goes go Indianapolis again and you DO MAKE IT to the Brazilian Steakhouse!!!! It neeeeds to happen!
I agree completely. It is now priority number one the next time he's in town.

It's good to know it's not just Harry's life that's utter chaos. Looks like we can expect more of the same going forward.

Oddly enough, before Los Angeles, he was in Vegas for 18 hours and came out ahead. That was the real reason he wanted to pay for dinner.
I was exhausted, reading this, but very cool your brother is a pilot!
If it helps, I was exhausted living it.
I once had a cousin come out to share an airport meal during a 2 hour layover. I was so pleased to see them, even briefly.
Nothing better than family... no matter the time of the day 🤗
That looks like PF Chang's. I've had that cake before- it's scrumptious. They make really good food, too.
