YAYYYYY Cannot wait! I've recommended this to so many of my adult friends, such good books!

I just pre-ordered my book from Main Street Bookstore and it'll be signed by you like all the rest of books I've ordered from you 🤗

You've got the best connections!

Wow. I am so behind. I did t realize these books existed. I will get on that!

Congratulations!

I preordered your book and I can’t wait! 💕

Since you say that they’ll look good on my bookshelf, I’ve ordered both of them to be prominently displayed on the top of my “to read” pile. I read the first one as an ebook…but, what the heck. Nothing screams grouchy, retired recluse fangirl like owning both in book form.

Thanks! Your book shelf/to-be-read pile will definitely be classier for it.

May have to re-read the first one before this comes out... It's been a minute! Looking forward to this!

I approve of this plan!

Very fun watching your Grand Opening (long time reader, first time viewer). I hope you redacted your name from the box, too, because we librarians and more nefarious hackers know how to find you. The cover IS great and very aesthetically pleasing alongside Chosen 12. Good on you, “James”!

My ultimate defense is that I'm not worth finding. I accidentally release my cell phone number a very large number of people and almost nobody noticed. I only got two calls and didn't get murdered even once. Perhaps my fears are overblown.

So relieved you weren't murdered! And even in the British cozies where whole villages are murdered no one gets murdered twice. Tho now that I think about it ....

Congrats, James! I’m an audiobook girl so I’m going to go that route. Going to start “The Chosen Twelve” soon! Already looks pretty good on my audiobook list.

That's my favorite audio book I've written because it's the only one I didn't have to narrate. It turs out professional voice actors are pretty good.

They really are amazing! I’ve gotten to work with one briefly when one of my short stories in an anthology was made into an audiobook. It was great!

Can't wait for this, was so happy you wrote it! I needed to find out what happened next! Will you provide a link to the bookstore in one of your columns? TY!

Awesome.

I have a question on the first one. Did you write everything in metric, or was it adapted for Europe ? Because in the European, everything is in metric which I found odd coming from the US. Anyways, still can't wait till it's out.

I wrote it in metric. I can't imagine anyone in the future will use the US imperial system. It drives me crazy when I'm measuring things by 1/16ths.

Expand full comment

Maybe you should have mentioned it on the cover "The first ever US fiction writer to use the metric system".

On behalf of the sane part of the world (measure-wise), thank you !!

Expand full comment

Lol, thanks. If our measurement system makes it into space, humanity is doomed. Well, more doomed than before.

Any chance of a Kindle version?...

Expand full comment

Yes! An ebook version should be available the same day.

How exciting! The book looks and sounds amazing (already preordered.) Now can we see the shelves you ordered from Amazon?

Expand full comment

If only. That would be a far more entertaining video.
