Houses can smell like many things. If you're lucky, yours smells like freshly baked cookies or a Yankee candle. Mine usually smells like guinea pigs and despair. On other days though, it smells like food. I do most of the cooking in the house. Usually it goes well. Sometimes it does not, and when it doesn't, everyone in the family makes sure I know it.
Smoke has a way of wafting around pretty much forever. That's one of the benefits of 10 foot tall ceilings. Lately, though, I've been cooking one less day a week.
